Unit 3 - Housing

The Unit 3 complex includes four high-rise buildings, and is located one block away from campus.
A Triple Room in Units 1-3
A central building houses the Cafe 3 dining commons, as well as the mail room, lounges and the Academic Service Center.
Students can pick up mail and packages in the central building.
Unit 3 is also home to two theme programs: Casa Magdalena Mora and UNITY. The Unity Resource Center is shown here.

The Residence Hall Complex

A traditional residential hall experience in the urban heart of Berkeley, close to local cafes, restaurants, and shops. Conveniently located one block from campus.
Four high-rise buildings — Ida Sproul, Norton, Priestley, Spens-Black — built around a large central courtyard, as well as the mid-rise Beverly Cleary Hall, located across Channing Street.
Nearest dining commons: Cafe 3, which is located on-site in Unit 3. Unit 3 also has its own convenience store, Bear Market.
The central commons building houses Cafe 3, Bear Market, the unit office, mail services, rooms for meetings, events, and parties, as well as the Academic Services Center.

High-Rise Residence Halls: Ida Sproul, Norton, Priestley, and Spens-Black Halls

Eight floors of double- and triple-occupancy rooms, some double & triples in suites.
Approximately 230 students in each hall.
Most floors are all gender; single-gender floors also available.
Bathrooms: one large all-gender bathroom per floor; single-gender floors have single-gender community bathrooms.
Main lounge on entry level; additional lounges on upper floors.
Some rooms have a bay view.
Theme programs: The Unity House Theme Program (In Spens-Black).

Mid-Rise Residence Hall: Beverly Cleary Hall

Beverly Cleary Hall is a mid-rise building located across the street from Unit 3. It features a lounge on entry level, and includes the Casa Magdalena Mora Theme Program.
